Spirit Courts
Orlando has always been noteworthy for its spirits. The Courts in Orlando are both powerful and byzantine, with their influence felt in both the Shadow and the Real... until now. Recent events have shaken the natural Spirit Courts of Orlando; of the Mage-created "courts", who can say?
- Roads
- The Court of Roads consists of transportation & road spirits. It is the dominant Court in the city. With the onset of Winter: inexplicably, the Roads seem to grow warmer against the cold, though their writhing slows and stills.
- Domus
- The Court of Domus consists of natural, city and building spirits. It used to include communication spirits as well, but no longer. With the onset of Winter: alone among the natural courts, the Court of Domus seems largely untouched. Portents grow around it, however; who knows what the future will bring?
- Order
- The Court of Order consists of big business & order spirits. It controls the Orlando attractions area. With the onset of Winter: buried under a blanket of snow, the Spirit of Corporate Disney and many of his followers have lapsed into hibernation. The remaining leaderless spirits of Order have retreated inward.
- Anonymity
- As its name implies, The Court of Anonymity consists of unknown spirits as well as most of the emotional spirits. With the onset of Winter: always elusive, the spirits of Anonymity have ceased responding to attempts to contact them.
- Pain
- The Court of Pain consists of violence, pain and crime spirits. Their numbers are lessened of late. With the onset of Winter: weakened though intact, the Court of Pain is rumored to have found a leader once more, and to be withdrawing from the city of Orlando.
- Birds
- The Court of Birds is a magath court (i.e., run by hybrid spirits, mostly insane), consisting of bird, communication, pain, fear and violence spirits. It controls UCF. With the onset of Winter: The explosion that rocked both the Shadow and the Real broke the power of the Court of Birds; the weakened survivors did not hold up long against the falling snow.
- Hunger
- The Court of Hunger consists of the followers of Isim-Ur, i.e. Hunger Wolf, a very powerful spirit.
